F3 – Cycle 22 – Pot Luck

In a short seven days many will be donning green and throwing down their best Irish brogue, even mutts like myself, and drink in the name of St. Patrick. Whiskey and green beer all around.

For this week’s challenge we’re asking you channel the spirit of the holiday by using a themed word list put together by Darren Miller, who unfortunately didn’t have time to post this prompt himself. And because the lateness we’re extending the deadline until Thursday.

Prompt: THEMED WORD LIST – road, beer, luck, coin, pot, gold, rainbow, snakes
Genre: Open
Word Count: Under 1000 words
Deadline: Thursday, March 17, 2011 4:30 pm EST

Alternative Prompt: If this week’s prompt doesn’t have you feeling lucky, writer pal and pen monkey, Chuck Wendig has started a weekly flash challenge over at his Terrible Minds site. This week’s prompt is a creepy hotel with an open genre. Looks fun.

Again, had a blast coming up with a way to fit the words into the story. Keep the prompts coming!

    Here’s mine: http://brandwich.blogspot.com/2011/03/missionary-man.html

This one’s *super short*. I used the word list and the idea behind the day itself, and just got silly with it. :P

I broke the rules this week. :-( I totally expect my story not to be included. :-( Rather than bore you with what happened here, there is a short intro on the page, if you’d like to read… The story has not been named yet.

I’m not sure if mine quite fits the theme, but I think it’s kind of fun! Hope you think so too.

Good bunch of stories. I’ll post up the list later this evening, still 45 minutes for those ambitious folks.

I had a story jogging around my head for a day or so about midget strong man named Martin Shillelagh who turned out to be a Leprechaun. But the words never manifested. :/
