F3 – Cycle 20 – Radioactive Clash Ups

Last week we had a fun romance prompt, so I thought we’d continue to stretch our genre muscles with one that nerds (and I say that as one) everywhere can enjoy.

Michael Bay will be doing an adaptation of Zombies Vs Robots for Sony. Yes, a zombie apocalypse where brain eaters fight robots that are trying to protect one human child.

You’re mission is to think of something fun, outrageous, wacky, (giant octopus vs. shark, Jason vs Freddie, Alien vs Predator), and let ‘er rip. Classic monsters, new monsters, aliens, anything goes.

Prompt: ANYTHING GOES – Battle Royale with your favorite villians, monsters and myths.
Genre: Open
Word Count: Under 1500 words
Deadline: Wednesday, March 2, 2011 4:30 pm EST

I really drank too much beer this weekend, what I came up with is a bit of a rehash of a previous post but it fits the requirements.

I had a lot of fun with this one but it was tough to come up with something that fit the bill. Hope you enjoy “Creature’s Night In”.

Hope and Hatred in a battle that has lasted ages… so much fun to write.

I entertained myself (and hopefully you) with this little number called “Mel Gibson Versus the Korean Bagel Lady”

I’m afraid I’m going to have to take a pass on this one. I wrote something like this awhile ago, and while everyone was so kind with their comments, I know the thing was as lame as it gets. I’ve been working on one for this week, but it keeps going absolutely nowhere. I’m so looking forward to reading everyone’s story. Great prompt and I love reading about and watching movies with any kind of monster. Problem is, I just can’t write them.

I too have to pass, Double uggh! for tax season and reviews, etc. I wrote something but it was hard to come up with the right villains (and I’m a villain lover!), in the end I just didn’t like anything about what I came up with. I look forward to reading the submissions of everyone else. Good stumper of a prompt, for me at least!

For your amusement, here’s what happens when Merlin Meets Godzilla. http://bryanthomasschmidt.blogspot.com/2011/03/flash-fiction-friday-merlin-meets.html
    Enjoy!

Oh now it works… Very difficult to post this week. Thanks to Joyce for trying for me… (hugs). Anyways, I’m not a huge zombie fan, but gave it a try because it is such fun to try new things. Alas, it does show that I had to stop so often because this week, “alone time” was virtually unattainable… lol…
